Gunfire Erupts During Police Softball Game In Delaware County

Gunfire broke out during a police softball game in Upper Darby Tuesday night, authorities said.

A member of the Darby Township Police Department and officers from surrounding areas were playing at the 69th Street Recreation Area when shots were fired just after 9 p.m., police said.

Nobody was struck, and officers do not believe any of them were targeted, police said.

"It was still a harrowing incident," Darby Township police said on Facebook Wednesday morning.
